The benefits of View Persona Management

At a high level, View Persona Management provides the following features:

• Little or no infrastructure is required—just a file share or the use of an existing folder redirection structure

• Efficient architecture with no dependency on Windows roaming user profiles

In addition to the listed features, View Persona Management also helps reduce virtual desktop TCO by enabling the move to a stateless virtual desktop environment. In some deployments, users were placed in dedicated pools solely to retain their profile settings, which added to the cost and complexity in management. When it comes to cost, as persona management is an integrated part of Horizon View; you don't need to purchase additional third-party products, unless you need additional functionality above and beyond the basics.

On the subject of management, there are no additional components to set up or install, since everything is driven by the Active Directory Group Policy. In terms of scalability, again, as there are no infrastructure overheads such as databases, so scalability is not an issue, as it scales with your active directory.
