WooCommerce recommends two popular gateways:

• Stripe, which accepts credit cards and Apple Pay (https://stripe.com/).
• PayPal (Express), which accepts credit cards and PayPal balances (https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/).

There are hundreds of payment gateways available on WooCommerce and WordPress, and sometimes, you will want a specialized gateway for a specific currency, locale, or payment custom. However, many sites just want to accept credit cards or PayPal and these sites are perfect for Stripe and PayPal Express.
