3 Classification of Warehouses and Laydown Areas
3.0.1 Warehouses classification shall meet the following requirements:
1 By function,warehouses are classified into production warehouses and auxiliary warehouses,where the former includes raw material warehouse,semi-finished product warehouse,finished product warehouse,fuel warehouse,chemicals warehouse,hazardous substance warehouse,etc.and the later includes spare part warehouse,tool warehouse,metallic material warehouse,PPE warehouse,etc.
2 By property of the stored material,warehouses are classified into solid material warehouse which includes bulk solid warehouse and bagged solid warehouse,liquid material warehouse which includes bottled liquid warehouse,barrel liquid warehouse and drummed liquid warehouse,and gaseous material warehouse which includes gas cylinder(steel cylinder)warehouse and gas drum warehouse.
3.0.2 Laydown area classification shall meet the following requirements:
1 By function of the stored material,laydown areas are classified into raw material(fuel)laydown area,semi-finished product laydown area,finished product laydown area,solid waste laydown area,metallic material laydown area,heavy equipment laydown area,etc.
2 By package type of the stored material,laydown areas are classified into bulk materials laydown area,barreled material laydown area,bagged material laydown area,bottled material laydown area,container laydown area,etc.
3 By loading/unloading equipment used,laydown areas are classified into gantry grabbing crane(loading/unloading bridge)laydown area,bridge grapping crane laydown area,bucket wheel stacker/reclaimer laydown area,etc.
3.0.3 The classification of fire hazards of the stored material shall meet the relevant requirements specified in the current national standard GB 50160 Fire Prevention Code of Petrochemical Enterprise Design.
