Analysis on the Evolution Trend and Influencing Factors of City Trade Areas in China Under the New Normal
Abstract:Under the background of the new normal, the trends and features of city trade areas show that city trade areas is changing from single function into multifunctional, from centralized layout to decentralized layout, from simple district level to complex district level; the dominant commercial activities of city trade areas will change and there is a strong momentum in the development of community city trade areas and urban complexes. This paper argues that the evolution of city trade areas will be influenced by the factors of the new urbanization advancement, the emergence of the“Internet”, consumer demand changes and upgrades, the change of location factors and traffic function, urban commercial development planning and policy implementation.
